We want to help
We know many students with autism are struggling in this economy. To help ease the financial burden of college tuition and program fees we are awarding five $1000 scholarships. The ASD Ascend Autism College Scholarships are open to entering freshmen, sophomores, and juniors enrolled in college who have autism and are pursuing either an associate’s degree or a bachelor's degree. Scholarships can be applied directly to tuition or fees for autism programs, aspergers college programs, other college support programs.
The ASD Ascend 2022 Autism College Scholarships are open to freshmen, sophomores, and juniors enrolled in a college in the United States who have autism and are pursuing either an associate’s degree or bachelor's degree. Scholarships can be applied directly to tuition or to fees for autism programs, aspergers college programs, or other college support programs. Scholarships are for the 2022 year only.
Scholarship winners must provide documentation of an autism diagnosis. Scholarship applicants are not required to purchase an ASD Ascend membership to apply for a scholarship. Purchasing a membership to the database will not increase your chances of winning a scholarship. Winners will be selected by a scholarship committee in January 2022 and will be notified by email by early February 2022. Winners must consent to having information in their application featured on the ASD Ascend website, blog or ASD Ascend social media sites including Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. Previous winners may not apply.
The ASD Ascend 2021 Autism College Scholarship winners are Clarence Harmon, Melanie Shaw, Sarah Brisman, Hunter Garrett, and Ryan Slaughter. You can learn more about the winners in the following blog posts: "How do scholarship winners cope with autism and college?" and "Do college autism programs help students succeed?"
Scholarship deadline is December 31, 2021
